Welcome to Troop 56!  We are located in the Black Warrior Council, Mountain District in Hamilton, Alabama.  We meet every Monday Night at 6:30 at the Scout Hut just down the road from the High School.

Our chartered organization is the Marion County Elks Lodge.  We were originally founded in the late 1930's. There was a break during the 40's due to the war effort and started back in the early 1960's.  We have held a continuous charter for over 39 years.  We have won numerous awards and had many great leaders come out of our troop.  We have had 23 Eagle Scouts to this point with many more to come.
