  • Golf
    Pikeville Country Club, located between Hamilton and Guin, offers nines challenging holes of golf and is in the process of constructing an additional nine holes, expected to be completed Fall 1998.

 

  • Hunting
    The LaMarion Wildlife Management Area, located in the center of Marion County contains approximately 25,000 acres and offers an abundance of deer and wild turkey, as well as, small game such as rabbit and squirrel for the outdoor enthusiast.

 

  • Fishing
    The Marion County Public Fishing Lake covers 37 acres and provides excellent fishing throughout the year. Upper Bear Creek Reservoir was named the Top Big Bass Lake in Alabama for 1998 by The Birmingham News.

 

  • Theatre
    The Bevill Community Theatre and the Kudzu Playhouse offer amateur theatre productions.
  • Attractions
    Each year Marion County hosts several festivals.

Mule Day, located in Winfield, is held each year on the fourth Saturday in September. Started in 1976, this event annually attracts up to 20,000 people to take part in the festivities. Including arts and crafts, flea markets, a parade, an antique car show, and mule judging.

Mayfest, located in Guin, is held each year in May and features a one mile fun run and walk, parade, car show, face painting, flea market, live music, helicopter rides, food and a dog show. Booths can be rented for merchandize, food and exhibits.

Pigfest, located in Hamilton, is in its fifth year and is held in August featuring events such as: arts and crafts, gospel and bluegrass music, country and western line dancing and clogging, an antique car show, helicopter rides and local entertainment. Booths may be rented for merchandize, food and exhibits.

Bear Creek Friendship Festival, located in Bear Creek, is in its fourteenth year and will be held in September featuring live music, games for kids, arts and crafts, and a fireworks show.
